About Yoga

Inner growth and transformation begins by calming the mind.  We calm the mind by tuning into the breath.  We tune into the breath thru moving meditation known as yoga.

Because life is a flow and the world outside us is constantly changing, we as human beings are also changing and evolving; yoga helps us understand our own evolution and be gentle and compassionate with ourselves in the process.  Taking the time to create space in the body through the breath and turning off the internal dialogue, we allow ourselves the opportunity to genuinely connect with our internal life and our spirit.  It is by peeling back the layers and finding this space of nothingness that we come to know our true nature.  Here we are able to realize our full potential and cultivate peace and harmony within. 

Yoga is one of the most powerful tools we have to nurture our spirit and care for ourselves on all levels.  It helps create balance in our lives and cultivates love, compassion, patience, kindness and wisdom.  Through our yoga practice we strengthen our intuition, care for our body and learn to trust ourselves.  The knowledge that is gained on the mat transfers off the mat and into our lives, changing the way we move through the world.  By finding internal stillness and silencing the noise in our head, we are able to tap into inner joy and happiness, celebrate all life has to offer, and tune into our most powerful teacher – ourselves!!
